FRANK Warbey won Millers Barn Golf Park’s CHAPS Society Memorial Cup.
It was a hard-fought contest, with the winner on par and those in second and third just three over, having to be separated on countback.
Warbey carded 80-18-62 for a par round, earning himself one shot off his handicap.
Second place went to Jeff Cripps, carding 88-23-65, beating Alan Brand into third place on countback after the latter carded 90-25-65.
Brand was also the front nine winner and Cripps the back nine winner.
The CHAPS also played for their July monthly medal and, on the front nine, no player came in with more than a nett 38.
Then, on the back nine, one or two saw the proverbial wheels come off.
Mel White finished first, carding an extremely good score of 79-23-56.
In second place was Alan Bacon, carding a one under par round of 89-28-61.
In third place was Warbey, with an on par round carding 79-17-62.
Bacon also won the front nine and Don Chaplin the back nine.
