FRINTON Golf Club entertained Belhus Park in the second Round of the Thornton Cup.
High winds and heavy rain severely challenged both teams, but Frinton – boasting seven golfers under the age of 20 – won convincingly in the end.
The morning foursomes resulted in a 5-0 whitewash.
Debutants Freddie Brett and Reece Balls featured in the largest victories.
Results: Chay Pratt and James Taggart 3+2; Pete Irwin and Tigg Tanner 3+1; Mitch McAuley and Reece Balls 4+3; Hamish Stubbs and Freddie Brett 5+3; Kevin Smith and Joe Bushell 3+1.
In the afternoon singles, Tanner (9+7) and Smith (7+6) saw Frinton to a comfortable 12-3 victory.
Taggart completed a 3+1 victory, before the rest of the field shook hands on honourable halves.
