AS usual the meeting for June was the strawberry tea. It was great to have 40 members turn up to enjoy bingo, a singing quiz and the strawberries. Audrey Cresswell thanked Valerie for a lovely afternoon. Jenny Semple read from the Friendship Book. Lorna reported that members had already collect £72 for the goats for Africa.
The next meeting is July 8, in the parish hall at 2.30pm, and the speaker will be Hazel Notley talking about her work in Romania.
Gunfleet WI
FOR the June meeting members went chasing moths and butterflies at Veolia Water conservation area at Manningtree. Thank you to Bob and Gordon who looked after everbody. Some tried pond dipping. It was a lovely evening for most members.
