Engains WI
ON January 12, the Christmas Party, which had to be cancelled in December, was held. Members welcomed visitors from Great Bentley, Weeley and Thorpe-le-Soken WIs, and enjoyed entertainment by Elaine Barker. A tasty buffet was served and a group of husbands served the drinks and did the washing up.
The prizes for the annual competition were presented to Dawn O'Neill and Maureen Carter who tied for first place and Margaret Humphries who was second.
The next meeting will be on February 9, Little Clacton village hall, at 7.30pm, when Susan Miller will introduce us to Egyptian dancing. The competition is for coconut pyramids.
