OCTOBER 13 was members evening when Joan and Gwen took over the meeting.

Marion was thanked for the flowers. Dawn and Cynthia were tea ladies.

October 14 would be the half yearly meeting at the Princes Theatre, Clacton. Several members would be going. Area would be collecting money for lunch on October 29 at McGrigor hall, Frinton. Members were asked to join the committee for 2011. Pat read out the financial report. Sandra will represent Gunfleet by laying a wreath during the service on Remembrance Day.

For our entertainment Pat gave a potted history of the beginning of the Women’s Institute movement. Followed by Sarah singing a nursery rhyme, with us joining in. Joyce told us about getting to be county chairman.

Joan and friends performed a TV advert (dad was a mouse for CBeebies). The competition was a mask, only two appeared, both getting the same points, so both had a prize.

We hope to play bingo on November 18, at the Red Triangle Hall.

The next meeting will be our AGM, Ann Newman from federation will be in charge. Please bring a photo of you under five years old. Chris and Marion will be selling their bead jewellery.
