Good Companions.
THE Club’s first AGM was held on January 28. Chairperson Joan Pyle welcomed everyone, the reports showed that the club had enjoyed a successful year and the committee all agreed to serve for another year.
Joan introduced the speaker, Michael Chaplin who gave an account of his career in the world of newspapers.
All Saints Mothers Union.
AT the groups AGM it was decided that as Dorothy and Pat are both retiring, and no one has come forward to fill their posts, the branch will have to be temporarily closed.
The guest speaker was Myrtle Clayton, a presiding deanery member.
Leisure Club.
AT the meeting on January 27 members met at the Red Triangle Hall to have a chat and a cup of tea. A friendly game of hoy was played and Lily Gray won the bus stop.
