AFTER welcoming members to the last meeting, Lynn announced that, sadly, their friend Alice Williams had passed away over Christmas.

AT our first meeting of the year Tina Staples gave a demonstration on swordplay. Wearing protective clothing members were shown how to use a foil by battling each other.
Three letters have been received from soldiers serving in Afghanistan thanking us for the shoeboxes and it was announced that George Mills will be the speaker at the county meeting on March 5.
The competition was for a picture of a sword.
