ON January 14 John Drury came to tell members about ‘Historic Treasures of Essex’. He showed slides of many houses and hidden gems around the county which was very interesting.
After coffee President Anne Massingham explained the new programme and various aspects of the W.I.Movement.
Some members had brought a personal treasure for the competition and then explain why their item was a ‘treasure’.
The next meeting will be on February 11 when Frances Boardman will tell us about famous women in history and why croissants are not French.
The competition is to write a poem about being a woman. The meeting will be in Little clacton Village Hall at 7.30pm - visitors welcome.
