A NUMBER of items were discussed during the meeting including: The ongoing works at the railway crossing, the affordable housing site in Clacton Road, and the possible source of a ‘strange smell’ on Tenpenny Hill.

It was agreed that the verge along Clacton Road towards the church will be included in the grass cutting program in the future and the Police stated that they had no reported incidents in Thorrington during October.

Other points of interest are that the new bus shelter on Clacton Road has at last been installed and the refurbishment works at the village hall have continued, it now has completely new toilet facilities (including the disabled), new curtains and new tables.
