THE night sky over Clacton was illuminated with spectacular lights and pyrotechnics as the popular Twilight flights rounded out day one of the Clacton Airshow.
After what was a gloomy and windy day on the north Essex coast, flight fans who braved the weather were treated to the return of the night time spectacle.
This year's twilight flights kicked off with the Firebirds, which both dazzled the audience with brilliant displays with trails of light coming off of them.
The duo had already impressed in the day alongside an array of other flights.
Otto the Helicopter then took to the skies, shooting out fireworks in a spectacular pyrotechnics display wowing the crowds below.
The day was rounded out by an incredible free fireworks display at Clacton Pier.
