A Clacton photographer has reached the final stage of a renowned photography competition.
Bradley Quinlan was one of the eight artists selected for the finals of the Essex Photography Prize in the category of fashion and commercial.
The competition is looking for new talents and emerging photographers in the county, including the categories of landscape, fashion and commercial, portraiture and documentary, wildlife, still life and under 18s.
Out of more than 1,000 entries, Bradley’s “Self-Portrait” was selected as one of the 40 finalists for Essex Photographer of the Year.
Unfortunately, he was not selected as the category winner but was proud to represent his hometown Clacton on the regional stage.
He said: “I'm honoured to have been selected and despite failing to claim the crown for Clacton, I'm proud to have brought our name to the lips of the industry.
“My thanks to ACL for their tutelage and to all those whose love urges me to reach for the heavens above.”
Bradley had recently completed his Level 2 qualifications in photography with the Northern Council for Further Education at Adult Community Learning Essex.
An exhibition showing the finalists' works will be visiting Colchester in spring 2024.
