A COMMUNITY fireworks spectacular designed to “put smiles on children’s faces” saw more than 100 people gathered on the seafront gaze skywards in awe.
The Jaywick Fireworks Display, organised by resident Dean Huckfield, successfully took place for a third time on Friday evening on Jaywick beach.
The 20-minute-long extravaganza saw rockets supplied by Dynamic Fireworks launched into the sky before glorious explosions of colour mitigated the darkness.

In the somewhat unique seaside setting, the crowds marvelled at fireworks and cheered throughout the exhibition of light.
Mr Huckfield said: “Thank you to every single person who turned up to support us – it really was unreal and it means so much.
“A massive thanks to VIP Security, Mother Louise, Mark for the hot chocolates, Danny Sloggett for filming and everyone who contributed.
“I do this for the families, to give a little back and put smiles on the children’s faces, but I was absolutely shocked by the amount people who turned up.
“Watch this space for something which could be coming at the end of the year.”
