A CARE home is celebrating outstanding results after being recognised during an annual awards bash.
The Corner House Residential Home, in Clacton, was shortlisted for two prestigious accolades at the Essex Care Sector Awards.
The home was up against 175 other nominees nominations, which was the highest amount since the awards began.
Despite the fierce competition, the home managed to win the Infection Prevention and Control award, which recognies steps taken to reduce risk of infection.
Volunteer Ray Titchmarsh also picked up the Unsung Hero award.
He has been part of the Corner House team for a while and has had a huge impact on many of the residents.
Staff at the home also received a 'good' rating on its PAMMS audit from Essex County Council.
Yash Kowlessur, home Mmanager said: "I am so proud to receive these awards not only to show what great work we do at The Corner House but also as recognition for a fantastic team of staff.
"Our main focus and aim is to make it a happy, caring, safe, fun, welcoming and homely place for those that live here.
"I think the awards and ratings show we are all doing a great job and will continue to do so for the residents of Corner House."
