A CARE home has been awarded a prestigious award making them the Care Innovator of the Year 2017.

Corner House residential home, in Clacton won the top spot at the East of England Great British Care Awards.

Managers Yashveen Kowlessur and Tracy Josko said they were “hugely proud of this prestigious award and all that we have achieved at the Corner House”.

Tracy said: “We won the award in front of an impressive shortlist which included national companies such Hallmark.

“The award recognised all our efforts to enhance the lives of the residents living here with some of the regular and special events that we organise.

“They were particularly impressed by the culture we aim to create in the home.”
