TWO care homes in Clacton have been praised for their food hygiene standards.
Corner House, in Wash Lane, and Corner Lodge, in Meadow Way, Jaywick, have both achieved the top rating – five stars – as part of the new Food Hygiene Rating scheme, which Tendring Council signed up to earlier this year.
This rating reflects the findings of the council’s food safety officer’s inspection of the kitchens, other food preparation areas, dining rooms, food handling practices of the staff, and food storage practices of the care homes.
