CLACTON’S Corner House care home opened its doors as part of the national Care Home Open Day event.
Staff chose a Best of British theme for the occasion, which took place on Friday June 21.
It included food and entertainment, as well as a Question Time-style session with MP Douglas Carswell.
Home director Rahul Jagota said: “It was super to see Mr Carswell visit as part of the event and answer our questions very openly.
“The residents and staff felt so valued by his visit, and the whole day was a wonderful way to promote good practice in care homes.
“We want the world to realise that care homes really can be inspiring places, full of unique, intelligent and charming characters, run by special people that really do care, and this helps us demonstrate that perfectly.”
