A GRANDMOTHER has hit out after finding a hard bone in her granddaughters fishfingers.
Sarah Hazel gave little 22 month old Colbie a fishfinger sandwich for lunch.
But when the tot spat out part of her food she picked it up and found a hard piece of bone inside.
“I had a look and it was a piece of bone about 1.5cm long.
“The bone was quite hard, she could have got it lodged in her gum or throat or choked."
A spokesman from Iceland, where the own brand fishfingers were purchased, apologised for the distress the find could have caused and said further investigations would be carried out.
