Surely it's time for we adults - with or without teenage children of our own and therefore personally very fearful every weekend - to stand up and say that 'We're mad as hell and just won't put up with this feral behaviour on our streets!'

BILL Davies’ low opinion of his country and his opposition of the 2012 Olympics (Postbag August 28) are in fact very good reasons why we need to support them. The 2012 Olympics will restore a sense of pride in being British that is sadly missing from Bill Davies and many others.

The mother of schoolgirl Shannon Matthews, who went missing for 24 days earlier this year, has been charged with her kidnap and false imprisonment, a court heard.
