THIS year's Clacton Airshow could be the last, council bosses have warned.
Tendring Council has vowed to axe funding for the two-day spectacular by next year.
It wanted firms to come forward to sponsor the display instead.
But a sponsorship shortfall has sparked warnings the crowd-pulling event could fold after this year's show.
Council leisure boss Stephen Mayzes said: "“I made it very clear earlier this year that this event will not continue to be funded by tax-payers’ money and that was a promise, not a threat.
“If individuals, businesses and organisations want the air show to continue they must back it – or they will lose it.”
