THE country’s number one swing band is jiving its way to the Princes Theatre.
The Jive Aces are renowned worldwide for their high-octane music, spectacular live show and being the first band to reach the live final rounds of Britain’s Got Talent in 2012.
Their show-stopping rendition of I Wanna Be Like You has been watched by more than 20 million people and even cheered up TV’s Mr Grumpy Simon Cowell.
Classics such as Bring Me Sunshine, Mack The Knife, Bare Necessities and King of the Swingers also feature in their live repertoire.
Their music video for Bring Me Sunshine has become an internet sensation with more than 2.5 million YouTube views and seven film festival awards.
Music critics hailed it as one of the most uplifting videos, and a doctor in Seattle even prescribed it as a treatment for a patient.
The six-piece band average more than 300 shows a year and have performed for the Queen and alongside VanMorrison and Status Quo.
They had the honour of being the first swing dance act to headline the Royal Albert Hall and have lit up thousands of festivals, theatres and dance halls in more than 30 countries.
The Jive Aces have also racked up hundreds of television and radio appearances, including a residency on BBC Radio London, the Alan Titchmarsh Show, Children in Need, and Good Day LA.
The Jive Aces are at the Princes Theatre, in Clacton, tomorrow at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £15 (£13 concessions) and are available on 01255 686633 or at essex-live.co.uk
